Shazam is little bit faster in detecting the songs but soundhound has cooler features. Unlike Shazam soundhound lets u open the found song in any music service app you have such as Dezzer(im Dezzer user). Apple watch app performance is far superior than Shazam. Im using paid version of both apps both overall i like this guy better

This is a fantastic resource for music discovery. Ive had success identifying a track in a noisy cafe. Love it

I find this app pretty good for my searches. Im amazed at the variety of music it can search. Often in restaurants it can pick up tunes from background music over conversations going on around me. New songs often cant be found for a while, but all in all Im fairly satisfied. Ill give five stars when the developers add a larger button to return from results back to search. The tiny "back" arrow is hard to find and touch when driving or walking.

Kudos to the inventor of this app. Made my life simpler, need to know a song name, just launch the app. That simple.

If you dont know what a song is or just want to share with friends what you are listening to this is the app. I recently got to show it to my mom and she downloaded it herself.

This app used too work effortlessly. Unfortunately for the last couple of months it barely works. Im very disappointed. When it works its great but not the norm anymore. Not sure why

Generally very good at recognizing songs but please stop messing with the user interface. Having the button you press to start listening for a song sliding around the screen when the app starts is just dumb. Seriously, someone is listening to something and decides they want to see what song it it. Starting up the app should have the listen button sliding around the screen. There is also too much feature bloat.

Fast, accurate, save music offline to search after when connected with internet, have lyrics, links to spotify... Complete!!

Of all the music discovery apps out there, the two main ones that come to my head is Shazam and sound hound. Of the two, I only used sound hound as I found it discovered music better and you could even sing the song and sound hound found it. To me, sound hound is the best out there.

It was way much better before, any of my songs are not in the lyrics library. I have to look for the lyrics clicking on the name of the song and then it is displayed.

Love love love this app.

I like how you can make a profile and save all your searches and if you ever need to recover from another phone it will all be recovered from your account. It is fast and really precise most of the time. It also finds lyrics for you.
