SoundHound∞ - Music Discovery Hodnocení aplikace

This app used to work great. Over the last few months, (late 2024 / early 2025) it’s been getting worse and worse. Now, it’s not unusual for it to fail to recognize top charted songs. Then try the built-in shazam on the iPhone and it recognizes the song in under one second. Something is very wrong. If the Soundhoud developers don’t do something soon to rectify it, I think it’ll be time to stick a fork in it. Too bad… it used to be so great.

Sound hound was pretty good until a year or so ago. Originally it would identify nearly everything I sampled, but its ability to the same has waned. Now it doesn’t recognize anything if I type it in. Only occasionally will it recognize through the mic. Maybe it’s just not compatible with the more recent iPhones. Sent in a complaint through the app 6 months ago. Said they were working through issues. Haven’t hear a word since. Today I dumped the app, redownloaded, and still no typed or audio recognition of any famous artist or song. Lost my entire saved “library” in the process. Time to move on!

Used to be great, but now it never ever has a search result which makes it worthless.

Is it just me?? The app hasn’t been returning any search results at all?!

What a joke! Previous SoundHound updates were much better quality than recent ones. I've tried to search for artists and songs under SoundHound and couldn't get any results. This has seriously got to stop and work better.

This app had not been updated in over a year. It often does not recognize songs. Shazam works so much better.

Love SoundHound but with more recent versions songs saved in my History have less and less YouTube links, despite this setting as my default playback option. Despite the fact the songs ARE available on YT, I get only 29-second clips instead of full songs like it used to.This app is starting to get eroded with crappy decisions. Apple/Shazam will crush you if you don't get it sorted.

App correctly identifies songs but when I attempt to share my findings to Facebook I get a blank screen. Works fine on iPad but not on iPhone (14). Please fix.

Although Soundhound works very well, sometimes it just can’t identify a song due to ambient noise or too short of a sample. Understandable. A very cool feature would be if the app recorded your failed attempts so you could play them back later, allowing you to keep the tune alive in your head. How about it?

I’ve been using this app since the beginning. My first iPhone was the 3. Soundhound was the first app I paid for. It’s only gotten better since then. I’ve never had to pay to upgrade.

That’s when I first downloaded SoundHound. After all these years, it’s still on my first page of apps. I use it all the time to identify songs on commercials, or during movies at home. The ability to integrate SoundHound into Spotify was amazing and makes it really easy to add songs to my daily playlists. I hope July 11th, 2028 I’m still as happy with SoundHound as I am today!

I’ve noticed that a few very popular songs by well-known artists have been out for MONTHS are still not in the database. Don’t be selective in what you list, Soundhound. Not cool.

Simply check the website out, the developers and their company have put all their eggs into the AI industry, they will be joining all the other self righteous narcissists and banking their efforts on deep human behavioral manipulation.

You sound hound for years and loved it however, in the last few months, all of a sudden it doesn’t recognize any of the music and I’ve switched to Shazam because it does.

Hope you guys will add better video PIP features in the future updates. Sometimes we just want to multitask with our phones. Please add this feature. My Device: iPhone 14 Pro Max (latest iOS), iPhone SE (1st Generation, iOS 15.7.8), iPad Pro 12.9” (3rd Generation, 2018, latest iOS/iPadOS) Note: I regularly update my review/rating for this application. Used this app for years. It’s had its ups and downs in the past but now it no longer works at all.

I’ve had this app for a really long time, and I’ve been supporting it since the beginning, since even before Shazam even existed, and was really enjoying the future of having it available for my lock screen with a widget, but suddenly that has disappeared, and I don’t even have the option to add it… What’s going on would really like some answers and support for this problem

App will no longer update. It’s stuck in an installable state. Nothing but a greyed out icon. It attempts to install then fails. Remove and reinstall and nothing.

Before Shazam there was SoundHound and it is still the best for identifying music on the go. Even let’s you purchase from iTunes or find on YouTube or Apple Music after you search.

Easy, Fast, has improved over the years I’ve used it.

I've been using SoundHound for over 10 years now, and it used to be my go to song recognition app. Now for the past dozen times, it has failed to recognize songs that are easily identified by Shazam (built into Siri). This used to hold premium real estate on both my Home Screen and Apple Watch complications. I never thought I would say this, but I'm finally retiring it for something that's more reliable.

I sure do miss the old functionality removed from SoundHound. When I search a song, of course the first thing I want to know is what is it called and who is it by. Thats obviously there in every music ID app. I want to know about the song because I like it and its new to me. Next I want to know what album its from. SoundHound USED to list all the places that song was released (all the albums, etc). REALLY useful when trying to buy it. Also, I want to hear other music by that musician. SoundHound USED to show that—a nice list sorted by album. SoundHound is not fast compared to the other “well known” music id app. In fact, it has a fairly regular problem of not even being able to “hear” the music in the room for some reason. You have to reboot to fix (if that fixes it at all). It keeps asking if u are “humming”. Nope—but the music is loud in the background and the “other” app hears it. Hasnt been fixed for a LONG time and is irritating because often the clip you are scanning is over before u can try again. Live lyrics to sing along with used to be a big bonus feature only found here. Now lots do it. I guess what I’m feeling is that unfortunately SoundHound is pretty much like every other app now—just orange colored instead of blue—so why wouldnt I pick the fastest, most reliable one? Go back to being feature rich. Its why I paid for the full version originally

I have been using SoundHound since 2009 I believe. Back then it was called Midomi and I got the first version on my Nokia! It used to be amazing. You could use it in busy bars or even him a tune and it would get it like black magic. However I’m not sure what happened in the last 3 years - it barely works. I could play tunes on Spotify that are quite popular and the search still comes back empty. The app has lost its touch and now it’s borderline junk.

Please fix asap.

The technology is amazing, it’s never wrong. People now think I am a genius.

Useless if you have even mildly broad music tastes!

The map feature was set this app apart from Shazam. I loved being able to pull up where I heard a song or to see what locations I visited that played great music. Sometimes it was just fun to make that connection between the place and the music you heard there. I noticed over the years that the location info was harder and harder to find like it was being phased out. Please bring this back!

It must be over 10 years now I’ve used this app. I have nothing but good things to say. It’s been a very seldom time over the years that it didn’t pull up the song I was listening too, no matter how obscure. Did you ever find yourself hearing a song in a crowded place that brought back old memories but you never really knew who played it? This app has your back. Did you hear a song on a random tv show and really like it but never heard it before but you’d like to hear it again? This app will save it. And you can go over all of those saves at any point no matter how long ago you saved them. It’s like having an ongoing source recording the music score of your life documentary.

I could play any song, Then the music library was blocked and it was playlists only. Now Apple Music is required. Just keeps getting worse.

And I bought the paid version because it is SO WORTH IT. Shazam gets a lot of marketing, but this BLOWS everything else out of the water.

When did you guys remove the ability to show where I was when I searched for a song? I was trying to show a friend why he should spend the bucks on SoundHound over Shazam by demonstrating one of its coolest features - the map that shows where a song was “discovered” - but I couldn’t find it anymore. Why did you remove that?

The app lost its ability to auto share to Facebook and then in the new update you can’t select it to connect to auto share. I like using it while I’m driving and the auto share feature was so nice. I don’t like it now because you gave to click on things to post. That’s dangerous while driving. I rarely use it anymore because of this.

Very good app. I have found lots of childhood songs with this app. Glad I found it. Only problem is it may think one song is another song. Not that annoying because it will eventually correct itself.

For the longest time when I would look something up it was added to my library. For some reason that does not happen any my. I checked my settings and according to the all my settings it should still add to my playlist. Just wish it still did.

Almost without fail, this app tells me the song that is playing.
