Very good app

Old Review: I personally dont know anyone who dislikes this app. Its perfect and a zillion times better than shazam. New Review: That was years ago. Now, about half of the songs I search for are not in their database. For example, today I looked for Ed Sheerans "x" album. Not found. I also looked for Imagine Dragons "Smoke + Mirrors" album. Also not found. If they dont have two extremely popular albums, something is wrong. Another problem: If you are playing to an external audio source through a Bluetooth connection, SoundHound decides to play it locally through your phone instead. Not cool. There is no setting to change this. I give it two stars because this app was great for years. It needs to be updated.

The app no longer appears to support the Apple Watch. I like this service better than Shazam, but if they are going to remove features, might be best to switch.

The title says it all! Loved it when I could get it on my iWatch!

Needs a lot more live lyrics support among other things.

Ive been using this since the App Store first launched (back then it was called Midomi). Ive tried many other ones but Soundhound still is the best in my books. In addition, the details in the app (like caching the audio capture when I dont have a signal and processing it later) make this the best experience too.

Go to use Soundhound and I cant find an FN thing. You just made a major mistake, you took a good app and made it CRAP. Good going. Idiots.

The app is almost unusable now. There used to be a prominent "listen now" button, but now its hidden: weirdly, at the bottom of a pull-out panel brought up with the settings button. Today, the apps "normal" user interface shows all sorts of random things the company hopes youll buy or pay for. Its much less useful than it used to be. Sad. I can understand the need to monetize its use, but the designers have rendered it nearly unusable.

Was a good App, now just a bunch garbage, it use to do just what I wanted it to do, find lyrics and identify songs. Now they have added a bunch of senseless Junk. Will be deleting it and hope to find an App that will do what I want it to. Sometimes Change is not better.

SoundHound is way better than Shazam, we all know that, but what happened? I dont like the new app, looks so weird... Can you please go back to normal? It doesnt fit anywhere!

Great app overall. Would be better with integration with Google Play Music.

The animation during "not listening" is very confusing, it suggests app is searching for music while it does nothing. Besides, the same animation is during "listening".

Best app ever! It does what it says it will do; what an amazing concept. Thank you Sound Hound for being true to your word. A rarity indeed.

Does not work live

Talk about missing the boat. Yeesh...

I have always loved that Sound Hound let me search for songs with extra options like typing lyrics or humming a song, which Shazam cant do. And it is far more accurate identifying songs from live performances than Shazam is. However, recently SoundHound removed support for the Apple Watch, whereas Shazam still supports it. This is a major disadvantage for SoundHound. This one feature alone is pushing me back to Shazam.

Seriously, did you guys just remove it?

SoundHound had been my favorite, over Shazam. But...now I cant even figure out how to get it to listen to a song.... ITS PRIMARY PURPOSE! The UI, on the iPad, is crowded with junk thats unrelated to its purpose. Sigh. Back to Shazam.

I genuinely love this app, and actually rely on it regularly for personal and work-related purposes. This would be a 5-star review except for some reason the Apple Watch app has been removed. Am I missing something?
